LISLE WINE TO GO!

We cruise the beautiful Danube River with WINE TO GO 3 Packs at Malloy's Finest Lisle. Join us as we discover a variety of delicious wines from Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.

Our WHITE 3 Pack starts in Austria where the hills are alive with the sound of music and their signature white grape, Gruner Veltliner. Our example from Schloss Gobelsburg has history going back 850 years and vineyards tended by Cistercian Monks.  Crisp and fresh flavors are reminiscent of Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Wiener Schnitzel with wild mushrooms anyone?  Next is Philipp Brundlmayer "Kaiserstieg" Riesling from Austria. This dry wine has paradoxically beautiful fruit flavors of green apple, peach and apricot that are delicate, crisp and stony. Perfectly delicious with pan-fried Rainbow Trout, an omelette or even sushi. We cruise further down the Danube to Hungary for Disznoko Furmint, the grape of their legendary sweet wine Tokaji. Our example is not sweet, only lightly fruity like a blend of Riesling and Pinot Grigio. Bright and fresh, pair this legendary wine with Hungarian Chicken Paprikash. Beautiful food friendly WHITES for only $51 after 15% discount.  

Our RED 3 Pack starts in Austria with Schloss Gobelsburg Zweigelt. This cross between Blaufrankisch and St. Laurent, is the most planted grape in Austria. Juicy flavors of cherries, plums and spice, with good structure, waltz across the palate with roast duck, grilled sausages and braised pork shanks. Next, we cruise to Bulgaria for "Enira", a Bordeaux style blend from Bessa Valley Winery. Partial ownership by Comte Stephan von Neipperg of Bordeaux fame foretell serious quality. With aromas and velvety flavors of dried berries, cherries and currants, you don't want to miss this reflection of great Bordeaux. Stay tuned to this up and coming winery while enjoying it with classic roast red meat and game.  As the Danube flows into the Black Sea, we finish in Romania with "Noble 5", a novel blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz and indigenous Feteasca Negra. Full flavors of black cherry, red raspberry and plums are balanced, smooth and satisfying. Enjoy this royal gem with a warm and comforting Goulash or pot roast. Beautiful food friendly REDS for only $50 after 15% discount.

They have a wide range of great bourbon and single malt offerings including our very own Anejo tequila barrel finished single malt barrel pick that has to be tried to be believed! See you then!
